Netflix Addiction
A year ago Netflix finally launched in the Netherlands and we were offered an additional way to get our media fix. For years I had been hearing from friends about how awesome services like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime were, and how it would change the way I watched series. Sadly none of those services were available in the Netherlands.
So when the streaming platform was finally launched I immediately wanted to try it out and see if it would change the way I watched TV shows.
The issue I always had with watching TV shows is that our TV stations were always behind the actual series seasons in the US. While everyone was watching Season 3 already, I was still stuck half way season 2. And not just that, but commercial breaks, changes in timeslots, sudden hiatus etcetera, really took away the fun for me. So in the end I stopped watching many shows and only remained faithful to a handful of them.
But since now everything is uploaded on the streaming service I can pick and choose what I want to watch and when I want to watch it. No commercials, no hiatus and often more up to date.
And sure the Dutch version of Netflix is still behind on some series. But that gives me time to finally watch some older series than I haven’t seen in ages and never appear on tv again.

Gaming Backlogs
Playing video games is something I grew up with and which I still love to do.
Over the years I have owned many different gaming systems and played my share of titles on them. From Commander Keen to World of Warcraft, I bought a lot of games and enjoyed beating them.
But despite it all I have one major issue with video games; the so-called gaming backlogs. And to be honest my video game backlog has turned into a monster. If I take a look at my collection at home, and combine it with Steam and Origin, it had reached critical mass. I have 161 games on Steam, around 15 on Origins and a whole stack at home that I still need to finish.

Star Wars Day
Star Wars Day – May the 4th be with you & Revenge of the Fifth!
Yesterday it was May the 4th again which meant it was international Star Wars day!
Many Star Wars fans consider this date a small “Holiday” in celebration of the movies and the big sci-fi universe it created. It’s the perfect date for fans to come together and celebrate their love for Star Wars with viewing parties, playing games (X-wing, Star Wars TCG) or dressing themselves and/or their kids up for an event.

Welcome to Vyksos.com
Hello and welcome to Vyksos.com
My name is Claudia and I am a huge geek who lives in Europe. Ever since I was a little girl I was very interested in computers, games and pop culture and that never really changed. The reason I started this blog was because of two things.
- The main reason is that I am huge geek. Star Wars, Comics, Videogames, Tabletop rpg’s and more, are things that are very important to me. They help me relax, meet (new) people, have fun and also inspire me to create and do stuff. I like talking about it and share news, articles and reviews about them.
- I love to write about my hobbies but sadly since I don’t get the chance to do it much I had no real outlet for it. And I had a feeling that my skills in writing were getting really bad.
So why not combine my interests?
On this blog you will find my ramblings about a lot of things related to videogames, tv series, movies and comics. But also about other things. Like (geeky) clothing, make up, events, tags and much more.
I will updating every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday on 12.00 CET. Maybe later on I will add an extra day for additional articles or YouTube videos.
